Logan County Board of County Commissioners has designated Cooperating Ministry as the recipient of Surplus Government Commodities. This food is distributed through the food bank at Cooperating Ministry.
Christmas Food Baskets: This yearly event is accomplished with the assistance of hundreds of volunteers. the non-perishable food items are donated by individuals and community organizations.
In 2010 over 400 baskets were distributed by the volunteers and staff at Cooperating Ministry. Volunteers are needed each year to organize the food, set up the tables at the Armory, load the food into the baskets, and place them in the vehicles of volunteer drivers for distribution. Other volunteer help is needed to answer the telephone to take the names of recipients, and drivers to take the food to the homes.
